Elements of Huron Grammar
by Pierre Potier

The Elementa grammaticae huronicae of Pierre Potier, S.J. is a companion work to Potier’s Radices linguae huronicae. Potier completed these works on the rudiments of the Huron language in 1745.

The work covers the grammar of the Huron language as well as a name index covering the Huron people and their chiefs, the missionaries themselves and also place names.

John Steckley, a present-day specialist in the Huron language, used the Jesuit’s works from the 17th century to learn the language.
